Bee have a winner!

Congratulations to young visitors Lilly and Joe, both aged 9 years, who suggested the name that was chosen for our new queen of 2024. She is to be known as: Beeyonce!


Here’s a picture of her, on the comb, in her winter quarters at our Airedale Beekeepers Association Apiary. I think she looks happy with her name, don’t you? We’ll keep an ear open for any singing when we go by the nucleus box.
